What information do we collect? How do we use it?

Microsoft Corporation requires that we collect your name, the license transaction date, and the names and versions of the products you purchase. Microsoft also requires that you sign the End User License Agreement (EULA). Your Authentication Token serves as your signature on the EULA.

In order to process your order, we also need to collect your credit card information, and your billing and shipping addresses. We will not store your credit card information. This information is simply used to process your order. Your shipping and billing addresses will be used to fulfill your order.

We also need to collect an email address (you may use your UW email address, or any other personal email address), which will be used in sending you an electronic confirmation of your order. This will be collected at Checkout.

How does e-academy protect customer information?

When you place orders, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all the information you enter. In addition, the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

Will e-academy disclose the information it collects to outside parties?

The Microsoft Student Select Program is administered by a third party organization named e-academy. To fulfill its role as e-academy's Student Select administrator, e-academy will take and fulfill Student Select orders and will store all information required by Microsoft to meet the terms of the Student Select Program. Microsoft requires that your name, local unique identifier (Authentication Token), license purchase date, and the names and versions of the products you purchase be stored and made available to Microsoft upon request.

No other information will be provided to Microsoft, including your billing, shipping and email addresses.
